Three Potters and a Painter

We are Hestemarí and Hermiene Ferreira, second-generation potters and co-founders of Three Potters and a Painter. Our studio is based in the heart of the Winelands, Stellenbosch, South Africa. We consider ourselves a dynamic sister-duo who have set out to not only challenge but change the conventional approaches to the ceramic design process. Seeking to go beyond the visual and tactile, our philosophy is one that crosses boundaries. This is a delicate endeavour that flourishes when traditional design, which contains the essence of pottery, and the contemporary, which embodies modern culture, are harmoniously synthesized. All our ceramics are masterfully and attentively crafted by hand, attuned to the details of the world they are about to become a part of.
