This hand-built vessel portrays a young Northern Sotho woman embodying the strength and vitality of a lioness. Hand-painted in layered earth tones, her poised stance and the lioness at her side express courage, intuition, and quiet authority. The pot’s rough, organic surface echoes the rawness of the African landscape, while the interior glaze — a meeting of dry earth and green — evokes renewal and life.
