I enjoy observing the natural world around me because nature is unpredictable and always interesting. Everything from plants to rock formations show us structures, patterns and colour pallets that are always unique and fascinating. These qualities influence the way in which I like working with clay and glazes.

I mainly work on the wheel to create ceramic objects that are functional and useful and then I allow each object to find its own natural individuality and form. There is nothing that I find more comforting than to put delicious natural foods into one of my bowls and then to hold it in my hands. I watch the interplay between the textures, shapes and colours of my food and the bowl.

Each of my ceramic pieces is functional, individual, inspired by nature and most of all, interesting to look at and to hold.
