Ceramic Artist: Hilary Abraham Ceramics

My pairs of oil and vinegar bottles are named from the isiZulu words for “mother”, “umama”, and “bottle”, “ibhodlela”. They are inspired by the rural women carrying food and water to the home in the traditional way.

The bottle tops have a ring of food-quality shrink seal around them to make them fit snugly and securely.
